Spinwell is recruiting for a Specialist Provision Officer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
Responsibilities of the Specialist Provision Officer
To support the success of projects or the business as a whole with intelligence, infrastructure, planning, resources or information.
Skills/Experience of the Specialist Provision Officer
* Suitable qualification at Level 4 or equivalent experience or evidence of skills in relevant area of work.
* Knowledge of current children and young people’s disability services and structures available locally.
* Experience or knowledge of special educational needs provision including alternative provision.
* Understanding of the SEND reforms (2014) and Local Authority responsibilities in delivering the ‘Local Offer’
* Recording information in minutes and/or reports.
* Experience of collaborative approaches through effective partnership working.
* Experience of service improvement and continued quality assurance.
* Ability to assess and manage risk, set clear priorities and manage competing demands.
* Knowledge of safeguarding requirements and legislation.
* Suitable qualification at Level 4 or equivalent experience or evidence of skills in relevant area of work.
* Evidence of continuing professional development.
* Demonstrates personal values and behaviours aligned to our corporate WE ASPIRE values.

* Understanding of need to work appropriately with confidential and sensitive information.
* Ability to learn new IT or web-based packages and systems.
* Ability to handle large and complex data sets, identify and interpret trends, and validate data.
* Planning skills for projects or day-to-day business processes.
* Excellent telephone manner and effective communication skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and professionals working with young people.
* Constructive contribution to meetings with stakeholders, settings, and contexts.
* Sensitivity to disability, sexuality, gender, and ethnicity issues.
* Ability to keep accurate and timely records and data, and compile reports in various formats using IT.
