Although contractually based in Basingstoke this is a remote working role. This means you’ll not be permanently office based, will need to be able to work from home and be willing to travel across various locations throughout Hampshire. As part of your line management responsibility, you’ll carry out regular 1-2-1’s and 90-day reviews with your team members. Addressing performance issues, training needs and being involved in HR/recruitment practices relating to your team. Key responsibilities include: Lead and support Gas Installation Engineers to deliver first-class repairs and customer care Conduct pre-inspection visits, design heating systems, and coordinate installation schedules and materials Monitor work in progress to ensure compliance with standards, safety, and customer satisfaction Carry out post-inspections to verify quality, safety, and correct use of materials Manage responsive repairs within set budgets and timelines Promote a high-performing, customer focused team culture Ensure cost-effective decisions aligned with Best Value principles Support preventative maintenance programmes and contract implementation Review contractor invoices and resolve discrepancies Investigate complaints and insurance claims, providing detailed reports and resolutions Maintain communication with planners to ensure efficient scheduling Promote continual improvement and participate in service reviews Represent and promote VIVID’s vision and values in all aspects of the role Provide monitoring data to management and uphold good housekeeping standards. Respond to tenant and customer enquiries professionally Participate in the on-call rota You’ll monitor gas safety and service performance to ensure KPI’s are kept within target. And that 100% of Landlord Gas Safety Record (LGSR) checks are successfully accessed. As part of this, you’ll carry out work in progress and post inspections to check that all installations are completed at a high standard. You’ll ensure that decisions on repairs/installation actions and materials within your business area are made in line with the principles of Best Value. Continually monitoring spend within your budget and measuring cost effectiveness of your decisions. You’ll be fully qualified and have Gas ACOP core units as a minimum, ideally with experience of supervising a team/trade staff. You’ll be an influential leader, acting as a role model for your team. And be the ‘go to’ expert in your field for any technical queries. You’ll have the ability to manage budgets, schedules and team performance and be proficient in essential workplace technology, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet-based tools, to effectively manage communications, documentation, and data.
