Internal Technical Sales Executive
The Role: As an Internal Technical Sales Executive your role will be to develop leads and relationships with target prospects, as well as existing clients, which will lead to specification-led business throughout projects in the Marine & Offshore market sectors. You will be selling a bespoke system which protects cables & pipes from gas, fire, and water in a variety of applications in these areas such as in naval vessels, oil exploration, offshore windfarms, merchant navy vessels, and yacht manufacturers. The area in which your target prospects will be across the whole of the UK.
This Internal Technical Sales Executive role will see you conduct multi-channel outreach in order to connect with a variety of decision making levels, from applications engineers through to board level, you will research and target these end users to propose new specifications of the cable sealing and protection solution into predominantly new build projects & retrofit assignments. A lot of your activity will be booking meetings for the external sales team, conducting online demo's, or conducting business yourself with smaller accounts. Once the specification has been signed off by the specifier, whether through your or a colleagues work, you will work closely with the EPCs, end users, and Contractors to see the process through to completion through phone/Teams contact and regular updates.
The Internal Technical Sales Executive will have the opportunity for face to face client visits where necessary, attending industry trade shows, and to work closely with the field team.
This role is hybrid in it's work pattern which will require you to be in their head office in Bury at least three days per week with the other two days being work from home or on the road if at client visits. This role will progress to a Territory Sales Management role within two years and from there your career can progress further into national roles, this role will suit someone who is keen on a career move!

We are looking for sales candidates who meet the following criteria:
·B2B sales experience in an internal or hybrid setting
·Track record of selling a technical product
·A good understanding of the entire sales process from spec to close
·Ideally coming from a background from construction or mechanical sales
·Full UK driving licence (this role will progress to a field sales role within 2 years)
·A Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background would be advantageous
·Excellent communication skills
Package:
Base Salary: £32,000-40,000 DOE
Bonus: 40% of basic salary, paid quarterly.
