Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Trainee Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment. As a Trainee Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities of the nursery, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children in our care.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging activities that promote learning and development.
* Provide care and supervision for children, ensuring their safety at all times.
* Support children's emotional and social development through positive interactions.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised nursery environment.
* Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and well-being.
* Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team atmosphere.
* Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to enhance professional development.
Experience
* Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
* A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications would be advantageous.
* Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
* Demonstrated leadership and management skills are beneficial for guiding activities and supporting team dynamics.
Requirements
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Experience of working in an employed role
* An enhanced DBS check or willing to undergo one
* Ability to provide two references, one of which must be a current or previous employer
* Patient, reliable and a caring attitude
* GCSE in English and Maths at C grade or above
