Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will produce and further develop weekly and monthly KPI’s as well as a Monthly Management Accounts packs to assist the board in their decision making and drive the business forward. The role offers the autonomy of managing all day-to-day accounting for the retail business and plenty of opportunities to develop your skillset within an experienced team.Offering a competitive salary & brilliant benefits package, including:23 days holiday plus bank holidaysHybrid working option – 2x days per week home working; Mondays and Fridays are fixed office days!37 hours – Flexible start times (8am – 9.30am until 4.30pm – 6.00pm) with early finish on FridaysGreat development opportunitiesPerkbox subscription – access to free weekly perks, discounts, Boxx fitness app and wellness hubEnhanced maternity and paternity pay after 2 years continuous serviceTeam bonding and social activitiesFree Food Fridays!Duties & Responsibilities of the Group Management Accountant: Prepare & produce a monthly Management Accounts pack for different companies within our group portfolioPrepare variance analysis and commentary of performance, working alongside with other departments to resolve issues in a diligent and logical manner within agreed timescalesPreparing year end reporting packages UK & EU entitiesManagement accounts prep includes processing of Intercompany transactions, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments & any other required journalsTo assist with forecasting P&Ls and CashflowsPreparation and reconciliation of balance sheet recs post month endAssisting in the budgeting processSupport the Accounts Assistants with their transactional processing and cover during busy periods / absence / holidays etc.Developing the systems further to keep pace with changing business requirements.Supporting year-end audits and liaising with external auditorsProcessing quarterly VAT returnsTo review and implement new processes to deliver reporting and administrational efficienciesAssist the Financial Controller with various projectsTo be successful in this role you will need strong Management Accounts experience. Some experience in presenting a full management accounts pack is preferred but not essential, other skills & experience required include:Qualified Accountant ACCA / CIMA / ACAExperience producing management accounts and presenting these to board levelMinimum – 1 years’ experience within MA roleSage 200 (Preferable but not required)Knowledge of financial accounting standards and a good understanding of financial policies, processes and controlsAbility to successfully handle several priorities simultaneously and ensure composure in high pressure situations whilst maintaining objectivity, focus and good judgmentIf you meet the above criteria & wish to put yourself forward for this position, please apply today!
