Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Respiratory Physiology Department. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our busy and evolving lung function service as a Clinical Respiratory Physiologist.
Responsibilities
* Perform a range of lung function tests, including spirometry, advanced pulmonary function testing, exercise testing, and sleep physiology.
* Work in the physiology lab, GP direct‑access spirometry service, and new breathlessness pathway at the Community Diagnostic Centre.
* Set up, calibrate, and maintain diagnostic equipment, ensuring quality control.
* Produce accurate investigation reports and technical comments.
* Cross‑site working between Bexhill Community Diagnostics Centre, Eastbourne DGH, and Conquest Hospital.
* Collaborate with research studies and other clinical teams as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Previous experience in lung function testing is advantageous but not essential.
* Good IT skills and excellent communication skills.
* Capability to perform both basic and advanced pulmonary function testing.
* Commitment to working toward completing the ARTP Associate Examination (Level I).
* Eligibility to complete the Annex 21 training opportunity and progress to a Band 5 Clinical Respiratory Physiologist position upon meeting required competencies.
Training and Development
* Comprehensive in‑house training provided, including preparation for the ARTP Associate Examination (Level I).
* Annex 21 training opportunity with progression to a Band 5 post after competency completion.
