Job Purpose: The Design Engineer is responsible for the mechanical design and layout of bespoke cooling water systems, from concept through to fabrication and installation. This includes creating detailed drawing packages, conducting engineering calculations, and supporting project documentation. The role demands a strong focus on safety, quality, and timely delivery in accordance with client specifications. Key Responsibilities: Prioritise Health & Safety by ensuring compliance with all company policies and relevant legislation for yourself and others. Ensure all employees, contractors, and visitors under your supervision adhere to safe systems of work and company HSE procedures. Design mechanical cooling water systems, including all associated piping and structural components. Produce detailed layouts and complete drawing packages for fabrication and assembly using CAD software. Perform engineering calculations to support structural, mechanical, and process design. Support the Project Manager in preparing technical documentation and submissions for clients.
