Salary: £12.21 per hour
Hours: 20 hours per week – Monday to Friday
We are recruiting for a Lunch cover nursery assistant to join our team at Cherrylands Day Nursery.
The Nursery is in the picturesque grounds of Weybridge, just near Brooklands Business Park. With excellent public transport links and a spacious car park, our nursery offers a convenient and accessible location for commuters.

As Nursery Assistant, you will:
* Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor always
* Understand the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS and staff: child ratios
* Provide engaging and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
* Facilitate a strong key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and cover all children daily when colleagues are absent
* Observe and support children’s development, update the EyLog system and children’s learning journals with accuracy and relevance, and seek guidance from colleagues or Room Leader if in doubt
* Provide the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development
What we are looking for:
* Fluent in written and spoken English - essential
* Over 1 year’s experience of working in Early Years - desirable
* Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements – desirable
