EPUT is seeking to appoint two compassionate and dedicated Specialty Doctors in General Adult Psychiatry to join our dynamic mental health team at the Tendring Specialist CMHT based at Reunion House, Clacton-on-Sea. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced consultants in delivering high-quality psychiatric care across the community in the Clacton and Harwich areas.
The Tendring Specialist CMHT provides community mental health services for patients referred to secondary mental health services by GP surgeries within the Neighbourhood teams in Clacton and Harwich. The team serves an adult population of around 78,000.
The post holder will have shared responsibility for the clinical care of patients referred to the team and will work closely with the consultant and team manager to ensure the provision of an effective service.
You should be eligible for full registration with the GMC at the time of appointment and hold Section 12 (2) approval under the Mental Health Act 1983. You will also need to provide evidence of achievement of ST1/CT1 competencies in psychiatry at the time of application and the likelihood of achieving CT2 competencies in psychiatry by the start date of the post.

Responsibilities include:
* Conduct outpatient assessments and reviews for patients in the area.
* Attend MDT meetings twice weekly.
* Attend Allocations meetings as required.
* Carry out home visits.
* Address urgent clinical issues for patients.
* Perform administrative work related to these activities.
* Supervise and support Trainee Doctors if appropriate.
* Work closely with primary care nurses (PCN workers).
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.
