Accounts & Business Advisory Manager ( PRACTICE/HYBRID)
Take ownership of and manage a substantial client portfolio, assuming higher levels of client responsibility and overseeing your team’s portfolios. Lead the charge in achieving revenue and profitability targets while nurturing and strengthening enduring client relationships.
Inspire, develop, and guide your team through effective coaching, mentoring, and exceptional leadership. Play a pivotal role in shaping the firm’s strategy & direction, driving continued growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare periodic management accounts and annual statutory accounts for clients, providing insights, best‑practice recommendations, and partner‑review recommendations.
* Offer comprehensive accounting and accounting‑systems support to clients, addressing their specific needs and challenges.
* Mentor junior staff, ensuring effective communication and knowledge sharing.
* Operate independently and collaboratively within a team to deliver outstanding client service.
* Lead planning and closing meetings, overseeing accounting teams throughout the entire business advisory cycle.
* Participate in resource management for business advisory engagements throughout the year, collaborating closely with Partners and fellow managers.
Strategic Leadership and Innovation
* Collaborate closely with senior management to lead and execute the firm’s strategic initiatives.
* Drive innovation and integrate cutting‑edge technologies that amplify efficiency, accuracy, and client service.
* Lead or participate in projects related to process automation, adoption of digital tools, and workflow optimization.
Compliance and Regulations
* Maintain a deep understanding of audit and accounting regulations and industry standards that impact the firm and its clients.
* Stay attuned to evolving compliance requirements to ensure ongoing adherence.
* Offer guidance to colleagues and clients on complex regulatory matters.
* Deliver internal training sessions to educate team members on compliance best practices.
Client Advisory and Relationship Excellence
* Cultivate and uphold strong client relationships by acting as a trusted advisor.
* Provide strategic guidance on how technological advancements can strategically benefit clients’ businesses.
Team Leadership and Professional Advancement
* Mentor, coach, and provide guidance to junior team members to enable them to excel in their roles and careers.
* Encourage continuous learning and professional growth; keep team members abreast of industry trends.
Thought Leadership and Innovation
* Contribute to the firm’s thought leadership initiatives by sharing insights on emerging trends, industry developments, and best practices.
* Author articles, participate in seminars, and engage in discussions that showcase the firm’s expertise.

* Champion the firm’s values, culture, and spirit of collaboration.
* Participate in cross‑functional teams and initiatives that drive positive change across the organization.

Qualifications and Experience
* Thorough working knowledge of UK GAAP, particularly FRS102.
* ACA/ACCA/CA or equivalent professional qualification.
* Proven expertise in business advisory across diverse industries.
* Demonstrated ability in coaching and mentoring junior team members.
* Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and owning client portfolios.
