SEN Primary Teacher – Trafford Full Time | September Start | Teaching Personnel Are you passionate about transforming the lives of children with complex needs? You will be supporting pupils with a range of needs including Autism (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, Global Developmental Delay, speech and language difficulties, sensory processing differences, and moderate to severe learning difficulties. The Role As an SEN Primary Teacher, you will: Plan, deliver, and adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of pupils with diverse and complex learning profiles. Use personalised strategies and multi-sensory approaches to support communication, engagement, and progression. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and the wider multidisciplinary team. Create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment that promotes emotional regulation and positive behaviour support. Track progress using EHCP targets and contribute to annual reviews. Build strong relationships with parents and carers, ensuring consistent communication and support. ✔️ Requirements We’re looking for someone who has: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). Experience working within SEN settings, or a strong desire to specialise in SEN. Knowledge of strategies to support pupils with Autism, SEMH, communication needs, or complex learning difficulties. A nurturing, resilient, and adaptable approach. Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills (Team Teach training is desirable but not essential).
