The Refuse and Recycling Team are looking to recruit a Waste Transfer Station Supervisor. WHAT IS INVOLVED? You will be responsible for supervising operations at one of 4 DCC waste transfer stations and ensuring compliance in connection with Environmental Controls, Health and Safety at Work, repairs and maintenance programmes and contractual obligations. Supervising the work of the Waste Transfer Station (WTS) site based staff i.e. Weighbridge Operator and Reception Hall Attendant county-wide. Degree in a relevant subject or Certificate of professional competence in waste transfer station operations. Internal Health and Safety Training in relevant DDC procedures and operations Significant experience in waste transfer station operations. Experience of working with external contractors. Experience of repairs, maintenance and servicing of public buildings and associated equipment. Experience of maintaining standards of health and safety at work Please refer to the person specification for the full criteria.
