Pay Rate: £83 – £95 per day

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school in Barnsley. As a TA, this role offers the opportunity to provide valuable classroom support, help pupils overcome challenges, and contribute to a positive learning environment.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support the class teacher with the delivery of lessons and learning activities.
* Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils who need extra help.
* Assist children with their academic, social, and emotional development.
* Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
* Help maintain classroom resources, displays, and an inclusive learning environment.
* Monitor and record pupil progress to support effective teaching.
* Promote safeguarding and the welfare of all children.
Requirements for Teaching Assistant:
* Previous experience working with children in a school setting is desirable.
* A caring, patient, and enthusiastic attitude towards supporting young learners.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years of employment, with explanations for any gaps.
