What you'll do

As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you'll play a key role in shaping and delivering the next evolution of our web and AI-driven products.

This is a hands-on role, but it's also about ownership, architectural thinking, and influence. We're looking for someone who doesn't just write code, but understands how systems fit together and actively contributes to improving them.

Here's what you'll be doing:

* Design, build and enhance full stack applications using: .NET (C#), ASP.NET Web API (Framework & Core), Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3/SASS
* Develop scalable, secure RESTful APIs that integrate seamlessly within our wider Microsoft ecosystem
* Work extensively with Microsoft Azure, including AI services and emerging frameworks
* Contribute to AI-powered initiatives such as intelligent pre-screening, matching logic, and conversational interfaces
* Collaborate closely with Product Owners, QA, Architects and fellow Developers within an Agile SCRUM environment
* Participate fully in refinement, sprint planning and reviews - helping shape both technical and functional direction
* Conduct code reviews and champion clean, maintainable coding standards
* Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers
* Take ownership of technical solutions - proposing clear, structured plans to move from current state to future state
* Adapt confidently when priorities shift in a fast-moving product environment

We're building new products as well as enhancing existing ones, so you'll have the opportunity to work on greenfield initiatives alongside complex, evolving systems.

What we're looking for

We're looking for a senior developer who combines technical depth with ownership, collaboration, and the confidence to help shape how we build and evolve our products.

We're looking for:

* Strong commercial experience with .NET C#, Angular, and building robust ASP.NET Web APIs within a RESTful architecture.
* Solid experience working with Microsoft Azure, including cloud-based application development.
* A strong understanding of clean coding principles, unit testing (MSTest/NUnit), source control (Git/TFVC), and delivering production-ready, maintainable solutions.
* Experience working within a collaborative Agile/SCRUM environment, actively contributing to refinement, planning and review sessions.
* Systems-level thinking - able to understand how features fit into wider architecture and propose structured, scalable solutions.
* Ownership and accountability - comfortable managing your workload, communicating timelines clearly, and taking initiative rather than waiting for direction.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to mentor others and adapt positively in an environment where priorities can evolve.

Bonus points for:

* Experience designing or implementing AI-driven solutions, ideally within the Microsoft ecosystem.
* Exposure to Azure AI services, agentic frameworks, or similar emerging technologies.
* Understanding of design patterns and SOLID principles.
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines and secure applications (e.g. OAuth2).
* Exposure to Dynamics 365, Dataverse, microservices, or queuing architectures.

Location

At Mercury, we believe in the power of face-to-face collaboration. That's why we encourage our team members to join us at our Coleshill office 2 days per week (ideally Monday and Tuesday). However, we're all about flexibility, so we support remote work the remaining days if that's your preference.
