We are looking for a clinical support worker to be an active member of the multidisciplinary team on an acute cardiology ward. The successful applicant will work on a 36 bedded acute cardiology ward at James Cook University Hospital comprising of 27 beds on the main ward and a 9 bedded Cardio monitored Bay.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be an active member of the multi-disciplinary team, undertaking all aspects of personal care, delegated clinical care duties, including clinical observations and the completion of assessments in relation to Pain, nutrition, falls prevention, oral hygiene, pressure area prevention,, moving and handling to provide healthcare and support that is individualised to the patient needs.
The successful applicant will update and maintain accurate records of any care provision and update and escalate any concerns from their observations and activities to the appropriate registered professional. The successful applicant is expected to comply fully with all Trust policies and protocols, including those related to patient safety and the prevention of healthcare associated infections.
They must also promote dignity, privacy, and respect, to deliver compassionate, safe, high-quality patient care.
