About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join a Social Housing team and lead the design and delivery of vital housing projects in the Derby area at a competitive salary of £40,000 annually. Key Responsibilities: As a Structural Engineer, ensure all work complies with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Manage technical aspects of projects, including reviewing plans, calculations, and specifications. Conduct site inspections and liaise with contractors, architects, and project managers to ensure smooth project delivery. Communicate with key stakeholders to ensure project objectives align with community needs and expectations. To Thrive in This Role, You Will Need: A degree in Civil or a HND in Structural Engineering (or equivalent) Extensive experience in designing and delivering housing projects, with a focus on both new builds and refurbishment. Proficiency with engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD Pro). Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
