Academics are currently recruiting for a resilient and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Ramsgate, supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
This SEN Teaching Assistant role is a full-time role, working 5 days per week, and would suit someone confident working with challenging behaviour and passionate about making a positive impact on young people's lives.
The Role: SEN Teacing Assistant
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs
* Build strong, trusting relationships to support emotional regulation and engagement
* Support the class teacher in delivering tailored lessons and activities
* Use de-escalation techniques and behaviour strategies effectively
* Promote a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
Requirements: SEN Teaching Assistant
* Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH and challenging behaviour
* Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, consistent approach
* Resilient, patient, and adaptable mindset
* A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
* Relevant experience in roles such as Support Worker, Youth Worker, or Teaching Assistant is highly desirable
