Job Title: Service Manager
Location: Woodbridge
Hours: Full-time, Permanent (42 hrs per week, Mon–Fri 8:00am–5:30pm + occasional Saturdays/peak times)
Salary: £45,000 + company vehicle + profit-related bonus
Are you an experienced leader with strong knowledge of agricultural or horticultural machinery? My Client is looking for a driven Service Manager to take charge of a busy service department, overseeing agricultural, professional, and domestic machinery repairs.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a key leadership role where you’ll manage a skilled team of technicians, deliver exceptional customer service, and ensure the department runs smoothly and profitably.
The Role:
* Overseeing the day-to-day running of the service department.
* Managing, mentoring, and supporting technicians to ensure high standards of work.
* Maintaining strong customer relationships and resolving queries effectively.
* Monitoring departmental profitability, with familiarity in profit/loss management and reporting.
* Organising work flows, delegating tasks, and ensuring deadlines are met.
* Handling staff-related matters in line with company procedures.
* Acting as the key point of communication between management, customers, and technicians.
What My Client Is Looking For
* Knowledge of agricultural and/or horticultural equipment (advantageous).
* Previous experience in a management or supervisory role.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct, mentor, and motivate a team.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and diplomatic approach.
* Highly organised with the ability to multi-task and problem-solve effectively.
* Confidence in handling sensitive or confidential matters.
* Ability to manage customer expectations without over promising.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
* Good general fitness and professional appearance (as this is a customer-facing role).
