Commercial Gas Engineer Toro Recruitment is seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Gas Engineer on behalf of an innovative, fast-growing organisation within the energy sector. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining and improving the performance of heat network systems, ensuring energy efficiency and reliability across various sites. Key Responsibilities of a Commercial Gas Engineer. * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on commercial gas boilers and associated plant equipment. * Attend and resolve reactive callouts, ensuring minimal downtime of heat supply systems. * Diagnose faults and undertake necessary repairs on plant equipment such as pumps, valves, plate heat exchangers, and pressurisation units. * Support project work, including scoping, installation, and commissioning of remedial upgrades to plant systems. * Maintain accurate service records using a digital maintenance system to ensure compliance and reporting accuracy. Required Skills & Qualifications: * Minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience servicing and repairing commercial gas boilers (1MW). * Valid commercial gas qualifications (including TPCP1 and BMP1) and NVQ Level 3 in Gas or equivalent. * Familiarity with mechanical plant equipment and commercial heating systems, including manufacturers like Hamworthy, Hoval, and Ideal. * Ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics and P&ID drawings. * Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to participate in an on-call rota (approximately 1 week in 4).
