We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Security Analyst to join our team and support the ongoing development, optimisation, and governance of our ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will be ServiceNow Certified, with hands-on experience across ITOM and ITAM, and a strong understanding of security, compliance, and platform best practices.
This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the platform is secure, stable, and aligned with organisational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Security & Compliance
* Manage and maintain ServiceNow security configurations, including roles, ACLs, and access controls.
* Conduct regular security audits, ensuring compliance with internal policies and industry standards.
* Monitor platform activity for potential security risks and implement remediation actions.
* Support governance processes, ensuring consistent and secure use of the platform.
Platform Administration & Enhancement
* Configure and maintain ServiceNow modules, with a focus on ITOM (Discovery, CMDB, Event Management) and ITAM (Hardware & Software Asset Management).
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
* Support upgrades, patching, and platform performance optimisation.
* Troubleshoot issues and provide technical support for ServiceNow users.
Data Integrity & CMDB Management
* Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and completeness across the CMDB.
* Work with ITOM Discovery and Service Mapping to maintain reliable service data.
* Implement data governance and quality controls.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
* Partner with IT, Security, Operations, and Asset Management teams to align platform capabilities with business needs.
* Provide guidance on ServiceNow best practices and security standards.
* Support training and documentation for end users and technical teams.
Required Skills & Experience
* ServiceNow Certification (CSA required; CIS-Security Operations, ITOM, or ITAM preferred).
* Proven experience as a ServiceNow Analyst, Administrator, or Security Specialist.
* Strong understanding of ServiceNow security models, including ACLs, roles, and access control strategies.
* Hands-on experience with ITOM (Discovery, CMDB, Service Mapping, Event Management).
* Experience with ITAM (HAM/SAM modules).
* Familiarity with security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls) is beneficial.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working in enterprise-scale environments.
* Knowledge of scripting (JavaScript, Glide API) within ServiceNow.
* Exposure to integrations using REST/SOAP APIs.
* Understanding of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and how they integrate with ServiceNow Discovery.
