Overview
Job Title: Cement Casting Technician
Location: Droitwich
Hours: 39 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Salary: 14.50 per hour
Key Responsibilities
* Interpret and work from engineering drawings and technical specifications to produce accurate cement castings.
* Prepare and set up molds and forms for casting, ensuring they meet design specifications.
* Mix and pour cement to create high-quality castings, adhering to safety and quality standards.
* Monitor the curing process to ensure optimal strength and finish of castings.
* Inspect finished castings for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
* Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure casting requirements are met.
* Operate and maintain equipment and tools used in the casting process.
* Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
* Work both indoors and outdoors as required, in various weather conditions.
* Operate a Forklift Truck (FLT) to transport materials and castings around the site.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in cement casting or a related field.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
* Strong understanding of cement mixing, pouring, and curing processes.
* Experience with mold preparation and setting.
* Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Forklift Truck (FLT) license is required.
* Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions is essential.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in the metal processing or industrial heating industry.
* Additional certifications in construction or manufacturing processes.
Working Conditions
* Full-time, permanent position.
* Combination of indoor and outdoor work environments.
* Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
* Occasional overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
