Account Manager – About our client:
Our client is a well-established and growing business looking to recruit a proactive and commercially minded Account Manager to join their collaborative team in Stevenage. This role will focus on delivering exceptional customer service, supporting sales growth, and building long-term client relationships within a fast-paced environment.
Account Manager – Details:
• Hybrid working – 2 days from home
• Monday–Thursday 9am–5pm | Friday 9am–4pm

Account Manager – Responsibilities:
• Deliver exceptional customer service and manage a broad customer portfolio
• Build strong relationships with customers and provide ongoing account support
• Manage customer queries, quotations, orders, and complaints through to resolution
• Work closely with external sales teams to provide a seamless customer experience
• Monitor customer orders, stock levels, and delivery schedules to ensure continuity of supply
• Communicate proactively with customers regarding updates, delays, or supply issues
• Support onboarding and implementation of new business accounts
• Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling products and services
• Support sales growth through outbound calls and account development activities
• Attend customer meetings independently or alongside external sales colleagues
• Analyse account margins and identify opportunities to improve profitability
• Maintain accurate customer records, reporting, and internal systems
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met
Account Manager – What We’re Looking For:
• Previous experience within customer service, account management, or sales support
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Commercially aware with a proactive and growth-focused mindset
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to build strong working relationships internally and externally
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Confident using computer systems and Microsoft Office packages
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and team-oriented approach
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high levels of accuracy
