Salary - £33,247 - £41,424. Band 5. Due to increased Theatre Sessions, we are currently seeking practitioners to join our theatre team, to provide care to patients in a wide range of specialities, including General, Orthopaedic, Trauma, ENT, Ophthalmic, Gynaecology & Obstetrics across all aspects of theatre care.
Overview
The post involves working as part of the theatre team to support perioperative care across multiple specialties. A shift pattern is in place to cover services 24/7.
Responsibilities
* Provide care to patients across surgical specialties in the theatre environment.
* Work as a team player with excellent communication to deliver effective standard of care.
* Contribute to ongoing education and training; maintain an active and updated Personal Development Plan (PDP) is desirable.
* Demonstrate flexibility to meet service needs and cover shifts as required.
* Display up-to-date knowledge of perioperative theory and best practice appropriate for a practitioner at the level of newly qualified.
* Utilise IT skills as part of daily duties where applicable.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Be a team player with strong communication skills and a commitment to high standards of patient care.
* Evidence of professional development; ongoing education/training; an active PDP is desirable.
* IT skills would be advantageous.
* Flexibility to work across different shifts and roles as the service requires.
* Previous relevant experience in the above-mentioned specialties is preferred; experience from student placements will be considered.
* Must be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or meet scheme requirements.
