The Company:
An international provider of maintenance and integrity services to the oil & gas sector. The position is based in Immingham (N.E Lincolnshire) on a permanent basis.
The Role:
As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for analysing and interpreting data and providing financial information to aid cost effective, efficient, timely and high-quality solutions. Required to work closely with Operations and QS functions and other stakeholders in the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparation and completion of monthly accounts to a strict timetable
* Preparation of weekly Dashboards to monitor cost performance on all projects
* Provide financial guidance and challenge to UK operational teams
* Support to budget process
* Ensure compliance to accounting and governance procedures
* Support to annual audit and wider finance team
* Ensure reliability, integrity and accuracy of data
* Undertake detailed and thorough analysis and identify opportunities to aid efficiency and cost optimisation through evaluation of data
* Ensure analysis is in line with business goals and targets including assumptions in the capital plan
* Create statistical and financial models and use appropriate software to review opportunities, and capex utilisation
* Make recommendations based on findings and analysis
* Produce forecasts and estimates on capex requirements to aid financially sound decisions and cash flow planning
* Collaborate with manager or stakeholders to determine effective solutions
* Participate in regular planning reviews and change processes and prepare data in line with changes
* Work with Operations and Supply Chain and other appropriate staff to resolve issues as and when required
* Provide additional analytical support as required
* Report against key performance indicators
* Work towards and support a culture of continuous improvement and work to make business and department improvements wherever possible
Qualifications & Core Skills:
* Qualified Accountant (CIMA / AAT)
* Experience working within an industrial related sector (oil and gas, construction, utilities, engineering, renewable energy, rail etc.)
* Commercial and financial acumen with a full understanding of the impact of failure in terms of business cost, production schedules and customer order fulfilment
* Assertive, resilient and welcomes change
