Front Line Support Technician
Location: Plymouth
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum
Overview
We are looking for a Front Line Support Technician to join our software development team in Plymouth. This role is the first point of contact for clients and internal users, providing essential help desk and technical support services. You will play a key role in diagnosing issues, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth operation of our software and IT systems.

Key Responsibilities
* Act as the primary point of contact for clients via help desk and hotline support
* Manage incident profiles, logging, and resolution tracking
* Diagnose configuration and user issues, escalating where necessary
* Provide technician-level support across general IT, Microsoft Office, networking, and Linux systems
* Support with software drops, copy/paste operations, and version tracking
* Maintain accurate records of support activity, including serial number alignment and incident history
* Collaborate with the development and operations teams to resolve recurring issues
Skills and Experience
* Strong technical problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach
* Familiarity with Linux machines alongside general IT, office applications, and networking
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and version control
* Strong communication and client liaison skills
* Previous experience in a help desk or IT support role desirable
