Position Overview The focus of this post is to oversee and manage the development of plant collections and areas of planted space, horticulture, and the wider estate to support plant conservation, propagation, research, education, and the enjoyment of visitors. Working side by side with directors and other senior managers, you will help meet the organisation's objectives: to educate, inspire, and engage visitors of all ages and backgrounds, sharing the wonder of wildlife together. Integral to the job is the requirement that all Health & Safety legislation is adhered to and that all work is completed as per agreed priorities and timescales. The post holder is expected to work with minimal supervision, while also managing and inspiring the Gardens Team—organising and delivering multiple assignments and completing priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ability to respond quickly to changing needs and circumstances is vital. This role requires you to wear the full uniform and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided. A neat and tidy appearance is essential at all times.
