Working for a local contractor who has been delivering high-quality electrical and facilities management solutions tomercial and industrial clients nationwide for over 25 years. With a strong reputation in the industry, their Facilities Management division supports a wide range of clients, providing reactive maintenance and small works across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic team.
Your new role
As a Mobile Electrical Engineer (Electrician / Approved Electrician), you will be working across a variety ofmercial and industrial sites nationwide, delivering electrical installations, testing, maintenance, and fault-finding services.This is a mobile role based in the West Midlands region (including Birmingham, Bromsgrove, Leicester, Worcester, Tamworth, and Northampton), with travel required across the UK and occasional overnight stays.Key responsibilities include:
1. Carrying out electrical installations and small works
2. Electrical testing, inspection, and verification
3. Fault-finding and reactive maintenance
4. Structured cabling installations (desirable)
5. Participating in an on-call rota
6. Working closely with clients to understand and meet their needs
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will require:
7. NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or a full apprenticeship
8. 18th Edition (BS7671:2018)
9. Testing qualification (2391, 2394/5, or equivalent)
10. JIB Gold Card (ideally, open to graded Electricians)
11. Full UK driving licence
12. Strong experience working withinmercial and industrial environments
Desirable (but not essential):
13. BS5266-1:2016 Emergency Lighting
14. IPAF/PASMA certification
15. Structured cabling experience
You will also be a self-motivated individual with strong organisational skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
