Position Overview
As a Rebuild Repair Engineer, you will play a crucial role in reconditioning and maintaining Caterpillar products, ensuring they meet Finning standards and customer requirements. If you have a strong background in electrical, hydraulic, and engine troubleshooting, we want to hear from you!
Your Responsibilities
* Conduct detailed inspections of machinery to assess repair needs.
* Perform standard diagnostic tests on machine components for accurate evaluations.
* Create comprehensive lists of parts and materials required for repairs.
* Execute overhaul, repair, or refurbishment work according to agreed plans.
* Inspect and test completed machines to ensure optimal performance.

Knowledge and Experience
We value your expertise! Ideal candidates will have:
* A deep understanding of service manuals and computerized Service Information Systems (SIS).
* Practical knowledge of tooling and specialized equipment for heavy machinery repairs.
* Experience with rigging, slinging, and jacking procedures.
* Electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical fitting knowledge.
Education and Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* A background in plant machinery or similar industries (HGV/agriculture).
* Apprentice training or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a quality service environment.
* A valid license to drive reach trucks.
* Practical experience operating construction equipment and mechanical fitting on large-scale machines.
