Optometrist – 16h (Part‑Time, Permanent)
Location: Trafford Park
Overview
At Asda Opticians the focus is on patient care and service. A typical day includes eye examinations, contact lens fittings and extended service examinations. You work alongside the Dispensing Optician Manager to support colleagues with training, coaching and maintaining departmental standards.
Responsibilities
Deliver full‑time patient care: complete eye examinations, contact lens and extended service examinations; support NHS extended service contracts; provide a wide range of eye care services; participate in training and coaching sessions.
Qualifications & Experience
* Fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC.
* Registered performer with your NHS area team or health board.
* Meets MECs or WECs accreditation (or willing to gain within 12 months, funded by Asda).
* On track to meet statutory CPD points requirement.
* Passionate about delivering a memorable customer experience.
* Committed to developing new patient services and shaping department culture.
* Evidence of Right to Work in the UK.
* Evidence of NHS performer list membership where applicable.
Shift Pattern & Rota
* Friday: 09:00–17:30
* Saturday: 09:00–17:30
