Role: Concrete Casting Operatives
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Chesterton, Newcastle Under Lyme, ST5 6BN
Pay: Remuneration will be discussed during an interview. Rate of pay will increase following satisfactory performance.
Working hours: 8:00 – 16:30 Monday to Friday with two 30 min breaks. 40hrs a week. Overtime available during the week paid at 50% extra.

Thorp Precast are a forward thinking construction business with a passion for quality and innovation. We specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke architectural panels and structures.
Due to continued growth and investment we are looking to strengthen our site production team and therefore seeking Concrete Casting Operatives. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking for a stable and varied position with an opportunity to gain or enhance skills within the building and construction industry.
Full training provided and immediate start available.
The job purpose:
* To produce high quality, bespoke, precast concrete panels.
* To place the bricks and necessary products into bespoke moulds.
* To install the bespoke steel cages and lifters into the moulds.
* To add correct lifters and loose reinforcement lifting bars into the steel cage.
* To assist in the pouring of the concrete.
* To assist in the lifting out of cured panels.
* To work from detailed drawings and instructions.
* To clean the mould in preparation for the next panel.
* Follow all health and safety regulations.
The ideal candidate will:

* Be proactive and not be afraid to lead by example.
* Be able to use measuring equipment and various hand and power tools.
* Be able to multi-skill, be hardworking and have attention to details.
* Be able to plan their own work and take responsibility.
* Cooperate with the team and have a positive 'can do' attitude.
* Adhere to all health and safety procedures.
Previous experience in tiling, bricklaying, steel fixing, welding or the construction industry would be a distinct advantage, but not essential.
