The Role
As a Teacher of DT, you will:
* Deliver engaging and innovative lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Plan, assess, and report on student progress, ensuring high standards of learning.
* Create a positive, caring classroom ethos and maintain an attractive learning environment.
* Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to departmental and whole-school initiatives.
* Support students with diverse needs, including SEN and EAL learners.
* Uphold the Trust s safeguarding and wellbeing standards.
What We re Looking For
We welcome applications from candidates who:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Have experience teaching DT at KS3 and KS4.
* Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a commitment to inclusive education.
* Are enthusiastic, flexible, and eager to contribute to the wider life of the school.
* Are confident in using ICT and interactive technologies in the classroom.
Desirable Attributes
* Experience supporting SEN and EAL students.
* Willingness to lead or support extra-curricular activities.
* Evidence of continued professional development.
You ll need to be accurate, reliable, and flexible, with the ability to work in a busy, hands-on environment. Physical effort and high concentration are essential due to the nature of the equipment and materials.
