We are a pioneering, multi award-winning technology business that helps real-estate companies reduce their energy usage and save money. Our growth over the last few years has been massive we currently have over 50 people in the UK, and were looking to grow that to 70 in the next 12 months. Job Purpose The People Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the human resources function for Utopi. This includes managing the recruitment and hiring process, developing our culture, employee development and retention, compliance and legal requirements, training and development and other related areas. You will have a key role in building and maintaining our culture as we rapidly grow in the coming years. Key Responsibilities Recruitment and Hiring Develop and implement creative recruitment strategies to attract top talent, aligning with Utopi's rapid growth needs. Help team leaders to manage the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience. Culture Development and Employee Engagement Help build on our excellent culture by implementing and leading initiatives that enhance our vibrant, inclusive workplace. Actively promote Utopi's values, encouraging diversity, open communication, and collaboration. Help organise and sponsor company events, initiatives and team-building activities. Performance Management Develop and implement a performance management system that drives excellence and aligns with the companys objectives. Regularly review and analyse performance data to identify trends, making strategic recommendations to improve productivity and efficiency. Training and Development Develop and deliver a comprehensive training program to support employee development and prepare the workforce for future challenges. Identify and address individual and team skill gaps, facilitating career growth and progression within the company. Compliance and Legal Ensure all HR practices comply with UK employment laws and regulations. Manage employee relations issues, minimizing risk and ensuring a fair, respectful workplace. Employee Wellness and Wellbeing Lead initiatives to support our staff in coping with the challenges of a modern, fast-paced work environment, emphasising the importance of mental, physical, and emotional health. Develop and implement a comprehensive wellness program that includes resources and activities aimed at promoting work-life balance, such as mindfulness sessions, stress management workshops, and fitness challenges. Skills and Qualifications 5 years of experience in HR management or related field, ideally in a company at a similar stage. A bachelor or similar degree in Human Resources Management or related field is preferred. Strong knowledge of HR laws, anti-discrimination regulations, data privacy laws, and other legal requirements related to employment. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills. Strong leadership and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Strong proficiency in HR software and related tools, including applicant tracking systems, performance management systems, and employee engagement tools.
