Main duties of the job The key to this role will be managing and supporting the lived experience workforce and promoting the inclusion of the 'user voice' by offering opportunities to be heard and effect change within the Trust.
You will also be key to the ongoing strategic delivery of lived experience opportunities within the Trust, and the establishment of an outcome framework for this platform of work.
On the inclusion side, the post holder will also contribute to a culture of parity whereby all protected groups are afforded fair and equal treatment in the Trust. You will be based alongside your management colleagues in one of our hubs in the Trust.

Job responsibilities The post holder will support the development of the lived experience support and involvement agenda. They will assume deputised responsibility for developing, implementing and reviewing the lived experience workforce.
They will contribute to the strategic planning and guiding lived experience voice through the lived experience support workforce and lived experience opportunities within the Trust.
The post holder will work to support reporting, research and audit activities for all lived experiences.
The post holder will contribute their lived experience of mental health challenges to deliver recovery-focused services, optimising the contribution of the Trusts lived experience workforce and service user and care involvement. By sharing the wisdom of their lived recovery experience, they will inspire hope and belief that recovery is possible in others.

Person Specification QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/TRAINING Completion of Peer Support Training
Degree or able to demonstrate equivalent skills in research, writing or analysis
Leadership training
Evidence of continuing professional and personal development
Mentorship or Supervision Training
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE Lived experience of recovery from mental and emotional distress and experience of using mental health services in A&UC setting (Inpatient, Crisis, MHUCC)
Extensive working experience as a peer/lived experience worker
Experience in managing and supervising peer/lived experience workers
Experience in utilising co-production as a methodology for undertaking programmes of work
Experience working with people with mental health challenges and supporting them to access opportunities beyond mental health services
Experience in supervision of others (in paid or unpaid capacity)
Experience in delivering training and presentations to a wide range of audiences
Experience in implementing recruitment and selection processes
Experience in facilitating group work
Experience in liaising and working with colleagues from other disciplines
Experience in delivering mentoring and/or supervision/appraisal
