Role Overview
Reporting to the Process Engineer, this role involves wiring tube frames that house X-ray tubes, preparing PCB assemblies, and assisting with the integration of X-ray tubes into tube frames. The technician will also support the tube assembly and test team, ensuring safe and efficient working practices
* Experience in wiring electrical components and preparing/fitting wiring looms.
* Previous experience as an electro/mechanical technician (or similar) in a hi-tech environment.
* Familiarity with safe working practices and ensuring compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Wiring tube frames for X-ray tube housing.
* Mounting PCBs onto support covers.
* Assisting with the fitting of X-ray tubes, PCB assemblies, and wiring.
* Identifying and rectifying wiring faults in tube frames.
* Raising Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for faulty items.
* Supporting the tube assembly and test team, including fitting lead plates and small mechanical assemblies.
* Maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
* Accurately recording data.
* Contributing to process improvements and safe working practices.
* Working with ESD control best practices.
* Experience with quality systems.
* Knowledge of COSHH regulations.
* Understanding of 5S and Six Sigma practices.
* Experience in hi-tech manufacturing or research environments.
* Technical qualifications in Engineering or Science (or relevant experience in a technical role).
