Job Description

We are seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to join the Corporate Finance Team in Biggleswade. This hybrid role will support the Finance Controller and the remaining Central Finance Team across a broad range of financial functions.

Duties include but not limited to:

* Management of Overhead purchases in Concur system including setting up of suppliers
* Daily interface in Cargowise system and month end close
* Part - Control of Accounts Payable activities
* AP Ledger payments reconciliation (DD)
* Processing of overhead payments and approvals
* Processing, approval and payment processing of Staff Expenses
* Processing of Payroll for Contract Logistics employees
* Submission of Electric Meter readings for all sites, and Management of Utility bills
* Processing of Hotel Bookings for all sites
* Credit Card reconciliation and posting
* Mileage Claims Management
* Fuel Card Business Mileage Reconciliation
* Management and Control of Fixed Asset Register (FMIS) Financial & Management Information Systems
* To prepare and support month-end process and ensure all aspects of weekly and monthly accounts are managed in timely manner
* Completion of Open Book Management Accounts
* Analysis of financial data and production of management accounting information for business including benefits tracking
* Ensuring adherence to accounting rules, procedures and timescales
* Preparation and updating of Process notes for all task covered
* Providing holiday cover for cashflow

Skills and experience required:

* Advanced Excel and financial systems skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
* Effective communication and rapport building skills
* Ability to develop and deliver high quality services and solutions
* A customer centric approach to finance and business operations
* Motivation for career progression and development
* A knowledge of the use and meaning of finance metrics and tools
* Ability to gather and correlate correct data in timely manner
* Ability to apply Noatum Logistics's financial policies to a limited range of activities
* Prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
* Understand all aspects of Billing and Procurement process
* Supporting other Finance Colleagues in their daily tasks including timely sales and purchasing
* Support Operational teams in provision of ad hoc requests
* Desirable: Experience in the logistics, freight, or supply chain sector is beneficial but not essential.
