The Mechanical Supervisor is a key role within the Maintenance team, supporting the safe operation of assets, plant productivity, and reliability. As the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will:
Report directly to the Maintenance Manager and oversee Mechanical Maintenance Technicians and Mechanical Shift Maintenance Technicians.
The role involves overseeing all mechanical maintenance tasks, ensuring safety standards are maintained, and compliance with site and industry regulations to operate as a top-tier COMAH Site.
You will work closely with operations to meet quality requirements related to ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001, and cGMP, including cross-contamination prevention.
Responsibilities include ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely and timely, managing the Mechanical Maintenance team, and collaborating with the Planning & Scheduling team and Site Engineers to enhance plant reliability.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
* Maintain health, safety, and environmental standards during all work activities.
* Manage and allocate work to the Mechanical Maintenance team, review work packs, and ensure RAMS are adequate.
* Monitor work progress, manage work orders in the CMMS, and ensure documentation is complete.
* Handle timekeeping, holidays, disciplinary issues, and deputy arrangements for the Maintenance Manager.
* Develop job packs, RAMS, and maintenance schedules in collaboration with the Maintenance Planner.
* Contribute to root cause analyses and follow-up actions to improve equipment performance.
* Provide first-line problem-solving for mechanical faults and work delivery issues.
* Promote continuous improvement activities and ensure PMs are executed properly.

* Ensure all environmental, health, and safety requirements are met during maintenance tasks.
* Foster a positive safety culture within the team.
* Ensure work is performed safely and according to company guidelines.
* Report accidents, near misses, and safety improvements.
Equipment Management
* Ensure timely completion of PMs, compliance, and regulatory work orders.
* Supervise Maintenance Mechanical Technicians and support projects or changeovers.
* Liaise with OEM contractors for inspections and plan future maintenance activities.
