About You
Are you passionate about shaping the future of young people? Do you have experience in the Health and Social Care or Childcare sectors and a desire to inspire the next generation? If so, we have the perfect role for you!
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Health and Social Care / Childcare Study Programme Tutor to join our expanding team in Leeds. This role is ideal for individuals with experience working with young people or those eager to share their industry expertise to help learners achieve their life goals.
Responsibilities
 * Plan and deliver engaging and innovative teaching, learning, and assessment sessions that support learners to achieve their qualifications, including Maths and English qualifications.
 * Ensure all learning programmes reflect the latest sector developments and integrate effective use of ICT.
 * Provide pastoral and tutorial support to guide learners towards success.
 * Managing and delivering diverse learning opportunities from initial interview and assessment through to course completion and accreditation.
 * Teaching across a range of qualification types and levels, from entry‑level to Level 2, ensuring learners gain valuable industry knowledge and skills.
 * Delivering practical learning experiences that build employability, social skills, and support learners in achieving qualifications in English and Maths up to GCSE level.
 * Upholding the highest standards of teaching as outlined in the Education Inspection Framework.
Qualifications
 * PGCE/Certificate in Education or Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training.
 * Minimum Level 3 qualification in either Childcare or Health and Social Care.
 * Relevant industry experience working with children and adults in the childcare or health and social care sector.
 * A strong sense of purpose and passion for teaching and training.
 * The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a wider team.
 * Excellent organisational skills, initiative, and the ability to meet deadlines.
Additional Information
Safeguarding responsibilities: This role will involve daily contact with learners, and you will be engaging in regulated activity relevant to children. All staff have a responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people, and/or vulnerable adults for whom you are responsible and with whom you come into contact. The Charity’s Safeguarding Policy is available from Central YMCA website.
