Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist – FGH
Full‑time Resident Consultant post in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, replacement, with 10 Programmed Activities per week.
Job Summary
The duties include gynaecology and antenatal out‑patient clinics, special interest clinics, operating sessions and labour ward cover. You will assist the gynaecology cancer lead in the running of Gynaecology Cancer MDT meetings, two‑week wait clinics and early‑stage cancer operative treatment when devolved by the regional centre.
Coverage is expected only on the FGH site and on call; private practice or coverage of other sites is not permitted.
Application will be accepted only if you are in the process of obtaining CCT/CSER within six months of interview.

Person Specification
Essential
* Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility within 6 months of interview
* MRCOG
* Obstetric or gynaecology ATSM
* Experience in general obstetrics and gynaecology equivalent to UK CCT
* Active involvement in clinical audit
* Good leadership skills
* Effective communication with colleagues, patients, relatives, GPs, nurses and other agencies
* Enthusiasm and ability to work under pressure
* Good organisational and management skills
* Ability to work within a multi‑disciplinary team
Desirable
* Medical education qualification
* ATSM acute gynaecology and early pregnancy
* Experience of contributing to requirements for CNST or other external regulators
* Willing and able to travel to other sites of the trust
