Who are we looking for?
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Support Worker to make a positive impact on the lives of service users by co-ordinating the provision of direct housing related support and housing management services. This will be achieved by working with area operation and central support teams and liaising with a range of external agencies and partners. You will report directly to Service Lead for your region. The successful applicant will demonstrate a desire to coach and support their team and to lead by example in driving quality and accountability whilst delivering the contractual aims of the service. You will have experience of working with stakeholders in the Criminal Justice System and be able to communicate effectively to partners and providers. This will include forming working relationships in the MoJ and with HMPPS, and also with external community agencies to better support the service. You will have previous experience of supporting others and guiding them within a team as you will be required to support, coach and develop a staffing team and deputise for the Service Lead in their absence. This role provides an excellent springboard into other criminal justice professions including experience of working with a range of criminal justice agencies. In addition, you will gain experience in liaising with local authority Housing Benefit departments and the DWP to resolve financial issues/queries.
