Overview
We are delighted to offer a part time opportunity for a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist at Band 8a based within the City Central Local Mental Health Team (LMHT) at Highbury Hospital. We would welcome applications from those due to qualify in 2025. Band 7 applicants can progress to an 8a after completion of a ratified preceptorship portfolio to demonstrate competence to work at that level.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the group of psychological therapists working into the City Central LMHT. These include a Senior Psychologist with a specialism of working with dissociative identity disorder, an Integrated Therapist and a Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner. As a psychological therapy team, you will meet regularly to discuss referrals, as well as for support and supervision.
City Central LMHT has a range of mental health professionals working within it and, as a team, support people who experience a variety of mental health difficulties, including complex trauma, psychosis, depression, anxiety, dissociation, self-harm and life-threatening behaviours. Working within the LMHT provides opportunities for developing the application of therapeutic knowledge and skills.
