Trade Compliance Manager
Location: Maidenhead, Berkshire. The role is based onsite 4 days a week with 1 day working from home.

Main Purpose
Reporting to the Head of Trade Compliance, the role will lead the International Trade Compliance (ITC) function ensuring the company complies with international trade laws and regulations, including UK, EU, and US (EAR/ITAR). The manager will oversee a team of four.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Lead the ITC team to provide licensing, authorisation support, guidance, and training for the business, driving accountability and ownership within the team and the company.
* Lead initiatives related to the development, automation, and continuous improvement of ITC processes and tools impacting all employees.
* Provide guidance and authorisation strategy on US export/re-export regulations and implementation.
* Provide people and subject‑matter leadership within the business and Senior Leadership Team, fostering ITC competency and talent development.
* Establish relationships with key stakeholders, including Inside Sales, Engineering, Commercial, Supply Chain, and Projects.
* Evaluate technology, hardware, and software (including classification and interpretation of UKML, Dual‑Use, USML, EAR, ITAR) to identify ITC requirements and ensure appropriate authorisations and controls for exports and imports.
Qualifications and Experience
* Leadership and team management skills, ability to motivate, develop, and foster a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
* Highly experienced with US export, security, and military regulations (ITAR, EAR, CUI, DFARS).
* Highly experienced with UK and EU export, security, and military regulations (UKML, Dual‑Use, Official‑Sensitive, MOD F680).
* A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in International Trade or a related field.
* Experience working in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment.
* Proactive in overcoming challenges, implementing change and improvements.
* Confidence in taking ownership, accountability, and delegating effectively.
