The Role: As a Graduate Trainee, you'll learn the business from the ground up, build strong customer relationships, and progress into a field sales and business management position.
Graduate Training Programme:
* First 6 Months – Develop core knowledge of how the business operates: warehouse, logistics, supply chain, administration, IT software, and marketing.
* Build a deep understanding of the product range and the electrical wholesale industry.
* Start building relationships, making deals and advising customers face‑to‑face over the trade counter, e.g. electricians, contractors and tradespeople.
* Begin your formal sales training course, attend Head Office training and network with other Graduate Trainees.
* Complete workbook assessments and earn training bonuses for your progress.
* 6–12 Months – Move into internal sales/account management, engaging with B2B customers by phone, g. construction companies, local government authorities, housing developers and hotels.
* Learn business development strategies and how to target and win new key accounts.
* 12 Months and Beyond – Progress to a varied B2B field sales management role with higher earning potential.
* Travel locally in your company car to meet clients, socialise, discuss projects and build strong relationships.
* Work towards running your own business within the group, gaining experience in staff management, purchasing and profit and loss.
* Managers enjoy significant autonomy thanks to the company’s decentralised structure.
You must have: A full UK driving licence; The ability to start a full‑time role immediately.
