You will work on diverse projects, creating engaging content aligned with OTR’s brand across our website, social media, and email campaigns. This includes multimedia content such as graphics, videos, and blogs to promote our work and highlight our community impact.
From a fundraising perspective, you will help drive activities and ensure efficient administration using the ‘Donorfy’ database. Responsibilities include donor stewardship, managing our CRM, and contributing to trust and grant applications. You will support digital campaigns and new initiatives to encourage ongoing support, helping secure funding to expand OTR’s services. Additionally, you will analyze digital performance metrics to inform and refine strategies.

Job Description
Job Title: Fundraising and Communications Executive
Location: Hybrid or office-based – OTR has offices in Leigh Park (PO9 3SU and PO9 5BG)
Reports to: Head of Fundraising
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Part-time (up to 22.5 hours/week, negotiable)
Salary: £15,795 - £16,380 per annum (FTE £25,974 - £26,936)
Job Purpose
Implement OTR’s fundraising and communications strategies through planning, creating, and managing digital content across our website, social media, and email campaigns. Support trust and grant applications, horizon scanning, and fundraising administration to help develop income streams and raise awareness of OTR’s services.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead on donor and community fundraiser stewardship through effective communication and relationship management.
* Implement fundraising communications across channels.
* Manage trust and grant applications, including horizon scanning.
* Create engaging content and campaigns to generate income.
* Support the development of regular donors.
* Maintain and update OTR’s website with the web team.
* Monitor website performance, user engagement, and SEO; suggest improvements.
* Ensure effective use of the Donorfy CRM for tracking and reporting fundraising activities.
* Contribute to OTR’s social media presence by creating and scheduling content.
* Respond to comments/messages and identify growth opportunities.
* Report on social media performance and use insights for strategy.
* Utilize paid ads to support fundraising efforts.
* Support email marketing campaigns, including newsletters and fundraising initiatives.
* Ensure email content is engaging and GDPR compliant.
* Promote OTR events and track campaign performance.
* Create digital content (videos, graphics, blogs) to highlight OTR’s work.
* Develop multimedia content to increase engagement.
* Ensure all content aligns with OTR’s brand and tone of voice.
* Promote OTR as a leading support organization.
* Use analytics tools to track digital performance and prepare reports.
* Provide insights and recommendations for improvement.

Person Specification
Essential: Knowledge of charities, communications, marketing, and fundraising principles; experience in digital content management; strong writing, editing, and communication skills; project management skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Desirable: Experience with CRM systems, multimedia content creation, supporting fundraising initiatives, analytics tools, and brand management.
