NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

We are looking for an enthusiastic staff nurse to join the dynamic Orthopaedic Pre-operative Assessment team within Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
We are a team of 6 nurses who assess patient’s anaesthetics risks prior to Orthopaedic surgery. This includes face-to-face and telephone appointments with patients. Pre-op is also part of the wider Orthopaedic Outpatient department, covering the fracture clinic and supported by the Senior Charge Nurse.
Knowledge in either Orthopaedics or Pre-op is not essential as full training will be provided, however an interest in both or either would be an advantage. If successful, we will welcome you to the team and support your career development. IT skills would be desirable for this post.
Working hours are Monday-Friday 8:00-18:00 over 4 days or 8:30-16:30 over 5 days.
