Job Title: Data Management Indexer - NDMC - Counter Terrorism Policing HQ
Salary: The starting salary is £34,808, which includes allowances totalling £2,928.
The salary is broken down as £31,880 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £34,108. Plus, a location allowance of £1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

Job Summary
Indexing of intelligence and information in line with National Standards, providing a Review, Retention and Disposal (RRD) and de duplicating service on behalf of the CT/DE Network to meet legislative requirements. Providing expert advice and guidance in relation to the services, identifying potential threats, information and intelligence gaps, which would mitigate risk.
Key Tasks
The post holder will be required to do the following:
* Receive and research information
* Identify key information
* Create key information within a dedicated database
* Summarise key information
* Provide expert advice in area of expertise
Vetting
This post requires access to the most sensitive intelligence material on a daily basis. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Developed Vetting (DV) level before taking up the post.
This post requires British nationality (some dual nationals may be ineligible) and an Enhanced Security Check (eSC)/Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
As the post holder will have access to very sensitive information, there are limitations on travelling to a small number of countries and we will undertake additional security checks as part of the recruitment process. Applications from candidates with close connections to certain countries may take considerably longer to process, or in some cases result in a withdrawal of an offer of employment. Further details will be provided at the conditional offer stage.

Essentials Experience
* Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft applications.
* Must have the ability to enter data quickly and accurately paying attention to detail.
* Must have report writing skills.
* Must have an ability to assess, interpret and summarise information especially sensitive information.
* Must have knowledge of supporting legislation such as the Management of Police Information (MoPI), European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), Freedom of Information Act (FoIA) and Data Protection Act.
* Must have knowledge of the principles of the Government Protective Marking Scheme (GPMS), Government Security Classification (GSC) and how it is applied in relation to intelligence product.
Desirables
* To research relevant systems related to intelligence gathering.
* Must be able to contextualise an understanding of the work of the Counter Terrorism and Domestic Extremism business areas incorporating current priorities and explain associated source evaluation, intelligence evaluation and handling codes, such as 5x5x5 and 3x5x2(+2)
* Knowledge of working within the National Counter Terrorism Network.
* Knowledge of the National Standards of Intelligence Management (NSIM).
* Knowledge of the principles of the National Intelligence Model (NIM) and how it is applied in relation to intelligence.
* Knowledge of the National Counter Terrorism CONTEST II Strategy.
Qualifications
* To attend and pass the National Indexing Standards and Procedures and the National Common Intelligence Application course on appointment.
* Be willing if necessary to travel to attend the above course where travel and accommodation costs will be covered
* Must be willing to work towards obtaining an Intelligence Support Officer Certification via the Intelligence Professionalisation Programme (IPP)
