You’ll be part of a forward-thinking service delivering creative and impactful youth work in one of London’s most vibrant, diverse communities. Whether it’s running a music session at one of our modern Youth Hubs, mentoring a young person 1:1, or working with schools and local organisations, no two days will be the same. What You’ll Do As a Youth Worker, you’ll help shape the lives of young people aged 11–19 (up to 25 with SEND), through face-to-face engagement across Hackney. Your work will focus on: Empowering Young People: * Leading open-access and targeted sessions that build confidence, resilience and life skills * Providing safe, inclusive spaces for personal growth, creativity, and connection * Supporting transitions to adulthood, education, and employment pathways Building Positive Relationships: * Engaging young people from all backgrounds, especially those facing disadvantage or disengagement * Offering 1:1 support, mentoring and signposting to specialist services * Encouraging youth voice, leadership and co-design of services Driving Community Impact: * Designing engaging programmes for evenings, weekends, holidays and residentials * Taking part in street outreach, school-based activities, and pop-up events * Creating alternatives to antisocial behaviour, exclusion and isolation Working Collaboratively: * Partnering with schools, youth justice, health and social care professionals * Promoting safeguarding, emotional wellbeing, and equality in every setting * Monitoring impact through youth-friendly tools, attendance logs and progression reports About You We’re seeking enthusiastic and socially driven individuals who believe in the potential of young people.
