Job Advert. Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our incredible team in Westcliff-on-Sea. The contracts available are: full time, part time and a Waking night role. Please see below for the hours available.

As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs. From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life.

Our Westcliff service provides support to unique individuals who have profound and multiple learning disabilities as well as other complex healthcare needs. You will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support that will enormously contribute to the people we support living a more comfortable, dignified, liberated and happy life.


What we\'re looking for

* A genuine passion for supporting others.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.


Contract options

* Full-time: 37.5 hrs
* Part-time: flexible hours based on availability - including:
* 18 hours a week, working 9am to 3pm over three days.
* This particular role requires you to be able and willing to drive a minibus.
* Other part time roles are available
* Waking Night - Sunday night only.
* Relief: Flexible working with no set hours/shifts


Shift times

All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!

* Days: Between 07:00-22:00
* Waking Night 21.00 - 07.00 - Sunday only
