We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join a thriving primary school in Bexley in September 2025. This permanent role offers the opportunity to work in a school that values both academic excellence and the holistic development of its students. You will play a key role in preparing children for their final year of primary school and the challenges of transitioning to secondary school.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging creative lessons to Year 6 students ensuring they meet their academic targets while maintaining a passion for learning.
* Support students in their preparation for SATs ensuring that they are wellprepared for both the academic and emotional aspects of their transition to secondary school.
* Foster a classroom environment that encourages student independence resilience and curiosity.
* Use a range of assessment tools to track student progress and provide timely constructive feedback.
* Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to ensure consistency and excellence in teaching and learning.
* Maintain strong communication with parents and carers keeping them informed of their childs progress and development.

Qualifications and Experience
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience teaching Year 6 or Key Stage 2 students.
* Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and SATs preparation.
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
* A passion for education and the ability to inspire Year 6 students.
