What you'll do: The Material Operations Manager is responsible for managing the internal materials & scheduling processes required inside the Eaton South Molton facility in order to drive the maximum adherence to the Master Production Schedule provided by the Network Planning team through Integrated Business Planning. This role is responsible for the following core processes: - Scheduling production in the short-term horizon based on the Sales and Operations Execution and Master Production Scheduling. - Maintaining Inventory Accuracy through accurate cycle counting - Movement of materials through the facility - Internal receipts, storage, distribution, and transportation - Manage logistics activities for the site - Responsible for managing materials flow and transactions inventory to support the plant's operations by deploying lean material flow - Responsible for generating short-term production scheduling aligned with the plan defined by the Network - Responsible for monitoring execution of production schedule defined by the Network (schedule labor on factory floor, monitor execution of the production plan) - Responsible for escalation of material availability to the COE and Network teams - Drive forecast attainment aligned with the MPS resulted from the integrated business planning - Execute shipment schedule aligned with the customer priority dates aligned with the network and customer service team - Champion and deploy continuous improvement leveraging tools such as internal assessments (MMA, OPA), visual management, standard work, and value stream mapping - Responsible for maintaining target inventory levels and meeting OTD goals for both internal and external customers and overall freight targets (including premium freight) aligned with the plan defined by the network - Responsible for plant-owned data health activities including, MRO, shipping and receiving, part movements, production scheduling - This role is a point of contact to escalations related to execution of the overall MPS.
