Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Lincolnshire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support. We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN (Special Education Needs) / SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties). This role is perfect for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who are eager to work via 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with a variety of learning needs, in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner, to raise their engagement and drastically improve the outlook of their educational journey.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Referrals come from local authorities and schools and may require support in educational and social-emotional development
* Provide support via flexible and holistic trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
Responsibilities
* Plan each session of teaching / tutoring / mentoring
* Deliver holistic and engaging sessions addressing the young person’s needs and progress
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
Qualifications
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
* Safeguarding knowledge and DBS (enhanced) — DBS can be obtained at cost if needed
* Two professional references
* UK-based with right to work in the UK (including remote/online)

Employment status

* Contract for service with PAYE payment
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
